What the price covers.

And what is charged separately by someone else.

A woman on her sofa waving to her practitioner on a laptop

Included

The consultation itself, with an AHPRA-registered practitioner based in Australia. Your history reviewed, your questions answered, and the written plan or next steps that follow from it.

Charged separately

Pathology through Australian Clinical Labs, imaging, medication and pharmacy costs, and specialist consultations. These are billed by those providers, not by Aevum.

Questions about cost.

How much does a first consultation cost?
It depends which pathway you book. A weight management initial consultation is $169 for 30 minutes. A women’s health initial consultation is $269 for 45 minutes, including the perimenopause and menopause initial consultation. A gynaecology initial consultation with Dr Kaushi Arulpragasam is $350 for 60 minutes. Fertility begins with a $395 Discovery Consultation, 45 minutes. Every price on this page is the full fee for that consultation, in Australian dollars, tax inclusive.
Do I pay before or after the consultation?
Payment is taken at the time you book, through Aevum’s secure booking system. You will see the fee before you confirm, and nothing is charged until you do.
What is not included in the price?
Consultation fees cover the Aevum consultation only. Pathology collected through Australian Clinical Labs, imaging, medication and pharmacy costs, specialist consultations and, for fertility, IVF or other assisted reproductive procedures are charged separately by those providers.
Are the prices fixed, or do they change based on my situation?
Fixed. The price you see is the price you pay for that consultation, whatever your circumstances. What varies is which consultation is right for you, which is what the first appointment or the eligibility check is for.
Is there a cheaper way to start?
There are two free ways to start. The Free 10-Minute Introductory Call is a short information call about our services, fees and how telehealth works; it does not include medical advice, diagnosis, prescriptions or treatment. The eligibility check is also free. It is a short form the clinical team reviews, and they will point you to the consultation that fits rather than the longest one. If you would rather not guess at a pathway, start there.
Can I claim a Medicare or private health rebate?
For gynaecology, yes: with a valid GP referral, a Medicare rebate of $88 applies to the initial consultation and $44 to the follow-up. You can book without a referral, but you will not be eligible for a Medicare rebate and the full fee applies. Medicare eligibility and any applicable rebate will be confirmed before your appointment. For women’s health, Medicare rebates apply to eligible consultations, and eligibility and any applicable rebate will be confirmed before your appointment. For weight management and fertility, no. Those consultations are private, and no Medicare or private health rebates are available. Basic pathology ordered by your practitioner is covered by Medicare at no additional cost to you.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book any Aevum consultation directly, gynaecology included. A gynaecology consultation needs a valid GP referral only to claim the Medicare rebate; without one, the full fee applies. If you have a referral or recent results from another practitioner, bring them, as they help your practitioner pick up where your care left off.
Where is Aevum available?
Australia-wide. Aevum Bio Clinic is a telehealth clinic: every consultation is by secure video with an AHPRA-registered practitioner based in Australia, so you can be seen from anywhere in Australia. Pathology is collected at any Australian Clinical Labs approved centre near you. Aevum sees adults aged 18 and over who are located in Australia at the time of their consultation.

Important information

All prices are in Australian dollars and include tax where tax applies. Prices are current at the date of publication and may change; the price shown in the booking system at the time you book is the price that applies.

Consultation fees cover only the Aevum services listed. External pathology, imaging, medication, pharmacy costs, specialist consultations and, where relevant, assisted reproductive procedures are additional and are charged by those providers. All care is subject to individual clinical assessment, and Aevum does not guarantee that any particular treatment will be prescribed.
