Perimenopause and menopause

Perimenopause, taken seriously the first time you raise it.

A 45-minute telehealth consultation on perimenopause and menopause, in depth. What is happening, which of it is hormonal, what the options are, and a plan for midlife health that gets reviewed rather than filed.

Is this the right consultation for you?

Worth two minutes before you book something, rather than after.

Book this if

  • Sleep, mood, cycle or temperature have changed and you want to know whether it is perimenopause
  • You have been told you are too young, or that it is stress, and it did not sit right
  • You want the options explained properly, including what each one involves
  • You want someone who will review the plan rather than see you once

This is not the one if

  • –Your main concern is something else, such as periods, PCOS or pelvic pain, in which case the women’s health initial consultation is the better fit
  • –You need urgent or emergency care, which telehealth is not for
  • –You are under 18, or outside Australia at the time of the consultation

Questions people ask before booking this one.

How much is a menopause consultation?
The perimenopause and menopause initial consultation is $269 for 45 minutes. Reviews are $99 for 20 minutes, or $59 for a short 10-minute review to confirm results are on track. Aevum fees are published before you book; pathology is billed separately.
Can I be prescribed hormone therapy?
Only an authorised practitioner can decide that, after an appropriate clinical assessment, and only where treatment is considered safe and clinically suitable for you and within their scope of practice. Aevum does not guarantee that any particular treatment will be prescribed.
Am I too young for perimenopause?
Perimenopause can begin years before periods stop, and age alone does not rule it out. That is exactly the kind of question the consultation exists to answer properly.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly.
